| 中文描述 | 在一些貓,因為耳炎所以必須沖洗中耳來治療常常會伴隨著同側的瞳孔擴大.瞳孔的光線反應對於擴張的瞳孔是不完全的.眼瞼孔會變的寬大,並且會有輕微的眼球突出.不會有明顯的不舒適,對於其他眼睛的檢查也不會問題.病鄭在一個星期內會解決,但是在一個案例中期復原過程中出現了Horner's syndrome.在人即為波—佩二氏綜合徵症候群,推測可能是因為在節後神經有細微的傷口. |

| 英文描述 | In some cats, flushing of the middle ear cavity for treatment of otitis was followed by relative dilation of the pupil on the side of the affected ear. The pupillary light response of the dilated pupil was brisk but incomplete. The palpebral aperture appeared to be wide, with slight exophthalmos. There was no apparent discomfort, nor were there other problems on ocular examination. Signs resolved within a week, but in one case were followed by Horner's syndrome which itself later resolved. This condition resembles Pourfour du Petit syndrome in humans, which is presumed to be due to minor trauma to the postganglionic component of the symphathetic pathway. |
